Thanks to all of you who have been in touch, we have had some really interesting questions and some excellent suggestions.

To help you figure out any issues with your new sensor and the apps, or for any other queries relating to what we do and how we do it, we have taken some of the most frequently asked questions and compiled them into a blog post for you to read.

We really hope this helps, but please do get in touch if your query is not included below!

General

Is it possible to put a location among the favorites and receive a push notification when there are differences in air quality assessment since our last visit?

Technically, what is the difference between sensors with an Asset id PW:AB_00xxxx and PW:WA_00xxxx?

The code indicates the sensor type. We use different sensors depending on use cases.

Planet Tokens

How can I earn Planets?

You have to buy a sensor from our e-commerce platform to earn Planets.

Do I need to do anything for the Planets token transfer?

You only need to configure your device. Planets will be transferred automatically.

When it will be possible to exchange Planet tokens?

We will update you as soon as possible. We are working on it.

Can I expect any airdrops of Planets?

No, we are not planning to do any airdrops, but sometimes we give free Planets when you purchase a sensor.

Is the information about the token model and price of Planets available?

The final token model will be released soon. Follow our website to learn more.

It would be nice to have a monthly Planet lottery where I have the option to 'stake' all or some of the Planets I have earned for that month and win more Planets (or eventually maybe services). All done on-chain in a transparent fashion.

Arianna

Is this sensor waterproof, can it stay outdoors? Is there a USB connection to the sensor?

Yes, the Arianna sensor is waterproof, it can stay outside in the rain. The USB connection is not required outdoors because of the solar panel included; the sensor is completely autonomous.

How long does the verification for the Arianna sensor take?

Generally it takes no more than two days.

Which App should I use for the configuration of the Arianna sensor?

Use the Wiseair App to configure the sensor with iOS application and Google Play.

Atmotube

Would it be possible for me to see all historical data for my sensor (e.g. 6 months or more)?

Yes, you can see the data on Planet Explorer.

I have purchased a sensor, but I can’t locate it on the map. What can I do?

Follow the instructions from this post.

After I bought the sensor during the special promotion campaign, I have configured the sensor and the application. How long do I have to wait for the tokens to be added to my account?

The tokens will be added to your account within 2 days.

I have ordered a sensor and was charged only 1€ and I haven't received any confirmation. I paid by PayPal. Should I have received any confirmation?

I have a problem with accessing the PlanetWatch app. When I try to access it with my correct pin, nothing happens. If I write a wrong pin, it checks it and writes "errato".

I bought 2 products on your website, but I did not get any confirmation via email, even after a few hours, is everything ok?

Is there a CO2 detector in the Atmotube device? And if not, are there any plans to include the CO2 detector in any of the devices you will sell in the future?

There is no CO2 detector in the Atmotube Pro. We are developing our own indoor sensor with a CO2 detector inside. We will share more information about it as soon as they will be available.

What does the maintenance of the sensor look like? I have worked with different sensors so far and there should be calibrations to maintain good data quality?

Atmotube device in principle self-calibrates (more information). We have tested the performance of Atmotube PRO against reference systems and we feel that its performance is quite good (especially for particulate) for the price you pay. One has to bear in mind that the usefulness of such devices is mainly in raising awareness of situations and behaviors which expose us to poor air quality. The focus is not on actual values, but on variations that occur if you fail to ventilate your room, enter a smoking environment, etc. Over time, the device can help you develop a healthier lifestyle.

Is it possible to send the sensor data to a web-based application?

No, it's not possible to connect the sensor with a web application on your computer. You need to download the smartphone or tablet application to connect.

How does the earning of Algorand work when collecting data? Do we receive tokens that are converted to ALGO or ALGO in addition to tokens?
